Delicious Shukto

Ingredients:

  1. 1 chopped bitter gourd (uchche).
  2. 1 brinjal (chopped).
  3. 1 Raw banana (chopped).
  4. 1 potato (chopped).
  5. 100 gm chopped green papaya.
  6. 10 piece of Vadi.
  7. Drumstick (Sojne Data).
  8. 100 gm pumpkin.

Masala:

  1. 2 tbsp mustard seeds.
  2. 1 tbsp popy seeds.
  3. 1 tsp ginger paste.
  4. 4 bay leaves.
  5. 1 tsp wild celery.
  6. ½ cup milk.
  7. 2 tbsp mustard oil.
  8. ½ tsp ghee.
  9. Salt to taste.

Method:

  • To make ideal shukto, cut all the vegetables in ½ / 1 inches long.
  • Make a pastes of mustard & popy seeds.
  • Heat oil in a pan & fry the vadi.
  • keep it aside.
  • Heat mustard oil in a pan & fry all the vegetables till half done.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Add the bay leaves & wild celery to the hot oil.
  • Add the ginger paste & mustard popy paste.
  • Add all the vegetables & vadi.
  • Add salt & mix them well.
  • Add water as required.
  • Cover the pan for 10 min in low heat.
  • Add milk & ghee & cook again for 5 min in low heat.
  • Shukto is ready to serve. Enjoy it.
