  Ingradiants:  Hilsa (ilish),½ inch thick darnes 1 medium • Mustard seeds 1/2 cup • Salt • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon • Green chillies 2 • Oil 4 tablespoons • Potato,cut into fingers 1 large • Onion seeds (kalonji) 1/4 teaspoon Method: Wash fish pieces and marinate with salt and turmeric powder and set aside for ten to fifteen minutes. Grind mustard seeds with green chillies to a fine paste using water as required. Heat oil in a pan and lightly fry the marinated fish pieces on both sides till lightly browned.
