Tomato Pulao

Tomato Rice

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups rice
  2. 3/4 cup onion
  3. 2 cups tomato
  4. 1/4 cup potato
  5. 2 and 1/2 tea spn chopped ginger
  6. 2 tea spn chopped garlic
  7. 1 tea spn urad dal
  8. 1/2 tea spn channa dal
  9. 4-5 cloves
  10. 1″ cinnamon
  11. 1/2 tea spn sesame seeds
  12. 3/4 tea spn coriander seeds
  13. 1/2 tea spn cumin seeds
  14. 3 red chillies
  15. 1 tea spn mustard seeds
  16. 9-10 curry leaves
  17. 1/2 tea spn cumin seeds
  18. 1 tbl spn dried coconut
  19. Ghee/oil
  20. Salt

Method:

  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottom vessel
  • Put in the whole black cardamom and then the tomato puree.
  • Now add the dry spices, salt and saute.
  • Put in the rice and mix well.
  • Finally add the water and cook covered till done.
  • Seve hot.
